Sentrian Centurions complete the Oxfam Trailwalker 2018!

We successfully completed this year's Oxfam Trailwalker 55 km walk! All eight of us crossed the finish line just before 9 pm Saturday, clocking-in a walk time of 13 hours and 49 minutes.

We kept a steady pace throughout the day, reaching each checkpoint as planned. But with the end in sight, we had to dig deep to complete the last few kilometres.

The day could have hardly gone better. I have no doubt it wouldn't have gone as well without our prep-work and the dedication from our wonderful support team - Jeff (Tom's dad), Courtney (Joel's wife), Rob, Rachel, Deb and our in-house chef Juan.

We managed to raise a total of $5,848 for Oxfam. We cannot thank everyone enough, from those who donated, to those who dedicated their time to organising our fundraising barbeques, Karma Kegs and more. It was a fantastic effort.

I'd particularly like to thank Newstead Brewing Co for the two Karma Kegs to raise funds for the walk. They were nothing short of a pleasure to organise with and helped us raise $2,000 in a single night.

Finally, I'd like to thank Oxfam themselves. Trailwalker is a great initiative to help struggling communities get a lift up. We got to enjoy the camaraderie of the 55 km trek, and it was made more enjoyable knowing it was for a good cause.

We're still working out some soreness, but we've all managed to make it back into the office on Monday.

Thanks,
James
