One of the firm’s engineers was doing the IT management and maintenance in addition to his normal job. The IT workload was simply taking up too much of his time, and distracting him from his core engineering role.
The IT Support Solution
MPN decided to change the way they were managing IT and signed up for Sentrian’s managed IT service. MPN assigned an internal staff member to be the IT coordinator to do some of the required support. Sentrian provide real-time monitoring, and inform the IT coordinator of any critical issues. Maintenance is mainly automatically deployed, with MPN’s Managing Engineer visiting the site at least once per quarter for additional manual maintenance. MPN’s staff member who initially had full responsibility for all aspects of IT is now only involved in high priority incidents.
MPN’s overall IT network health has improved. They are less dependent on internal staff for monitoring and maintenance. In case of urgent, high priority incidents Sentrian work alongside MPN staff to resolve the issues as quickly as possible, freeing up the firms people to focus on their core business.
